There is no denying that a lot of us do not have the time to improve the quality of air in our homes even when we truly want to. As a result of that, we simply rely on our HVAC filters and the occasional vacuuming to clear out the dust, pet hair, smoke, and other air debris. While these two things slowly improve the air quality of homes, there are better, faster and incredibly easier air dust cleaners you can use in other to have fresh and clean air in your indoor environment.
The Coway Airmega 400 air purifier is one of the purifiers out there and it is from one of the biggest industries known for producing air purifiers. It is an efficient air purifier that will ensure that even individuals with airborne allergies can walk freely in your house without fear. Its air purifying prowess aside, Coway Airmega 400 is available in silver/graphite and white model and the elegant design makes it a fancy and attractive addition to your home. There are loads of impressive features on the smart air purifier and rightly so considering it is also one of the most expensive air purifiers out there.
Features of Coway Airmega 400:
Let us take a look at the most amazing features below:
Real-time air quality monitoring
This is one of the most impressive things about the Coway Airmega 400. It is equipped with capabilities to monitor pollution in its environment thus allowing you to know the air quality in real-time. With this, people who suffer from asthma and allergy can relax without having to blindly rely on the performance of an air purifier. There is an air quality indicator at the front of the air purifier where you can easily tell how clean/healthy the air you are breathing is.
Hands-off operation Mode (Smart Mode)
This is one of the things that sets the Coway Airmega 400 apart from other air purifiers. All you have to do enable the Smart mode via the touch control panel on your purifier. The purifier will then automatically adjust and regulate its speed based on what it detects in the room it is placed in. There is a Sleep Mode which is activated when the purifier’s sensors detect low brightness/darkness in the room. When the air purifier is in sleep mode, it will reduce power consumption and noise.
Another mode that is available when the Smart mode is enabled is Eco Mode. The purifier also Auto-adjust fan speed when in Smart Mode based on the conditions detected by the sensors.
Powerful Two-stage air filtration
This air purifier combines both a HEPA filter and an Activated Carbon filter to ensure that 99.7% airborne pollutants and particles are eliminated. The implication of this is that from pet hair which can easily be seen with the naked eyes to dust that cannot be seen, every debris is removed. There are filters on both sides of the air purifier to guarantee optimal cleaning of the air in the room.
Touch screen Control Panel
The air purifier, unlike some other air purifiers, does not have a smartphone app. However, it has a touchscreen control panel where you can control the purifier without the need of any manual control or dial. The onboard touchscreen control panel is easy to use and does not require technical knowledge to operate.
Energy Star certified
The Coway Airmega 400 smart air purifier is also energy efficient and does not consume too much power as long as it is set to the normal setting. The average power consumption of the air purifier is 66 watts.
When in Smart Mode, the air Purifier stops working if it detects a low pollution level for 10 minutes running. It would only automatically startup if the pollution level changes. This invariably helps reduce power consumption.
It comes with a Timer that you can use to even reduce the amount of power the Purifier consumes. The Timer allows you to set the number of hours you want the air purifier to stay work before automatically turning itself off.
NOTE: There is a model of the Coway Airmega 400 air purifier that uses Wi-Fi but it is slightly more expensive than the normal one. You can consider using it if you want more convenience.
